Our view is that there is very little value in clients only receiving a written report that states whether appliances have passed or failed the testing. In fact it defeats the object of In-Service Inspection and Testing.
With Gilden Test & Inspection, as each item is tested the results are recorded in a fully computerised asset inventory which shows not just the current test results but the results for each appliance in the preceding test periods. This process of showing previous test results helps to keep track of deterioration of items so that clients are made aware of appliances that may need attention or replacement in the future.
Some companies believe that it is sufficient to just have stickers on appliances and cables that show that the appliance has been tested. However, because companies have a duty of care, it makes more sense to have a fully computerised record of testing undertaken so that proof of detailed testing can be provided, should it ever be required. In particular, this confirmation of the details of the testing also demonstrates the professionalism of the company contracted to undertake the work and avoids situations where it is thought equipment is safe when in reality it may have been only partially examined.
We have included here a sample electrical testing report which shows the test results from a range of appliances over a period of years. As you will see, the level of detail we record is extensive because our clients expect us to produce a first class service.
We can provide the report in printed form or in several electronic formats.
